Medical Facilities

There are three hospitals to choose from; Sunshine Coast University Hospital, Nambour Hospital, and Gympie. The Sunshine Coast is a growing region; several brand new medical facilities have been built and money has been spent to keep the Sunshine Coast competitive with the rest of Australia’s world-class medical system, both in the public and private sectors.

Lifestyle

Hospitals and clinics here encourage a healthy work-life balance. The Sunshine Coast is renowned for its beautiful, white-sand beaches, great surf and laid-back ‘beach’ attitude. If you’re not the beach-bum type, there’s also the picturesque hinterland, where nature-lovers will be blown away by the Glass Mountains and hiking trails with winding streams and cascading waterfalls. The Sunshine Coast has also been called the ‘creative heart of Queensland’ as the surrounding quaint villages are teeming with artists who have retreated to the tranquillity and peace of the area. The region is geared towards outdoorsy types, with a good dose of culture and a great restaurant scene thrown in.
