Specialist Consultant

Locum cover is required from 15 - 22 June 2026.

Position Details: 

• Rural Generalist preferred. 
• FRACGP or equivalent ED experience acceptable.
• On call 1:2 when 2 x doctors available, otherwise 1:1
• 10 hours days Monday - Friday including weekends | 80 hours per fortnight 

Please note that all rates are inclusive of superannuation, taxes, and casual loading, where applicable.

Swap the daily commute for four national parks, mountainous volcanic basalt country, sweeping black soil plains and rich fossil and dinosaur areas. Here in rural Queensland you will be working for a Multipurpose Health Service which is an acute facility with 24-hour emergency and general medical care, with six long-stay nursing home-type beds.

You will have the support of specialist services located at the nearest referring hospital. The medical superintendent is also the general practitioner for the town which allows for seamless services to patients.
