About the Role

Provide high-quality inpatient, outpatient and emergency medical services to the Taroom community and surrounding areas. This role includes 24-hour emergency coverage on a rostered basis, clinical leadership, governance, education, and service improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient, outpatient and emergency care.
• Participate in on-call, shift and weekend rosters.
• Lead multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
• Support clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement.
• Manage clinical documentation and referrals.
• Contribute to teaching, supervision and mentoring.
• Participate in community health initiatives.

Essential Criteria

• AHPRA registration as a Medical Practitioner.
• FACRRM or FRACGP.
• Eligible for Scope of Clinical Practice credentialing.
• Experience in Rural Generalist Medicine.
• Strong leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to clinical governance and ongoing professional development.
• Current C Class Driver Licence.
• Eligible for a Medicare Provider Number.
• Ability to participate in on-call, shift work and travel requirements.
• International candidates can be considered.
