Salary: $412,161 – $523,436 p.a. pro rata + 12% super (Sessional: $790.09–$1,003.40 per session)

About the Role

Join a dynamic regional health service at Albany Health Campus delivering high-quality inpatient, outpatient, and community-based general medicine services. You will rotate across inpatient care, Hospital in the Home, outpatient clinics, rapid access pathways, and consultation-liaison services. The role involves clinical leadership, driving safety and quality outcomes, and supervising registrars, RMOs, and interns in a supportive training environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient and outpatient general medicine services
• Lead Hospital in the Home and hospital avoidance programs
• Provide consultation and perioperative medical advice
• Supervise, mentor, and train junior doctors
• Contribute to quality improvement and service innovation
• Participate in rostered on-call and weekend coverage

Essential Criteria

• Registration with the Medical Board of Australia
• Fellowship of RACP (or eligibility) in General Medicine
• Significant relevant clinical experience
• Strong leadership and commitment to teaching

Situated on the southern coast of Western Australia, just over 400km from Perth, this hospital has a capacity of 108 beds, and its wards/departments are staffed by highly trained, specialist personnel. There is a 10 bed maternity ward, which handles some 450 deliveries per year, and a 10 bed paediatric ward.
