Resident Medical Officer

Locum cover is required for:

• Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 January 2026, 2p-10p ED
• Friday 23 to Sunday 25 January 2026, Nights 10p-8a
• Friday 29 Jan to Sunday 1 Feb 2026, Nights 10p-8a

Position Details:

• Would consider SMO/MOSS/PGY3+

This medical centre is based within the largest town within the West Coast in the South Island of New Zealand.  The centre is a busy GP clinic with a patient base close to 5750.

Location Information

The nearest domestic airport is 39 km from the medical centre and serviced by direct, 45-minute flights from Christchurch. The airport offers an extensive range of car rental options as well as a direct shuttle service from the airport to the town where the hospital is based.

For those who are driving please note that the town is a 3.5 hour drive from Christchurch and 9 hours from Invercargill.
