Job Description:

DIT 2027 – Plastics Registrar (Non-Accredited)

  • Location: Launceston, Tasmania, Australia
  • Employment Type: Fixed-term, full-time
  • Salary: $138,978 – $194,675 per annum + 12% superannuation

About the Role

This opportunity offers a comprehensive Registrar-level experience within a well-supported Plastic Surgery service in Northern Tasmania. You will contribute to the day-to-day management of plastic surgery patients while working within your clinical privileges.

The role provides broad exposure across the specialty, including operative work, emergency cases, outpatient clinics, and participation in an on-call roster. You will be part of a collaborative clinical environment with access to teaching programs and opportunities to engage in research.

This position is ideal for candidates seeking to expand their surgical experience in a structured and supportive setting.


Position Details

  • Fixed-term full-time role, working up to 76 hours per fortnight
  • Contract duration: 1 February 2027 – 6 February 2028
  • Includes 10 hours of protected, paid training time per fortnight (pro rata)
  • Multiple positions available
  • Potential for additional similar vacancies within 12 months
