Job Description:
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and enthusiastic medical practitioners to join our client's team as an Orthopaedic Surgeon - Flow Improvement Consultant in the Orthopaedic Unit. The priority of these positions is to provide timely access of care for Emergency Inpatients and Outpatients, as well as elective patients who would otherwise be affected by elective orthopaedic surgeon leave, by providing backfill in clinics and theatre.

- Hours per week: 40 hours
- Employment Status: Fixed-term, Full-time
- Appointment Period: 03/08/2026-01/08/2027
- Additional Notes: Full time applications only
To be successful for this role you must:
- Be a registered Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) Hold a Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS (Orth)), or equivalent
- Have appropriate training and experience applicable to the field of Orthopaedics
- Demonstrate a commitment to high quality patient care
- Demonstrate a commitment to working as a team member with peer medical, junior medical, nursing and other clinical staff to provide efficient, safe and quality care across the continuum, and
- Demonstrate a commitment to teaching, training and research.
