Position Details:

• General Surgery Consultant
• $2000 per day 
• $4500 weekend on call flat rate
• Longer-term locum opportunities may also be available in 2027 for interested candidates.

This medical centre is based within the largest town within the West Coast in the South Island of New Zealand.  The centre is a busy GP clinic with a patient base close to 5750.

Location Information

The nearest domestic airport is 39 km from the medical centre and serviced by direct, 45-minute flights from Christchurch. The airport offers an extensive range of car rental options as well as a direct shuttle service from the airport to the town where the hospital is based.

For those who are driving please note that the town is a 3.5 hour drive from Christchurch and 9 hours from Invercargill.
