Specialist Consultant

Locum cover is required for:

• 8 am Monday 13 April to 8 am Friday 16 April 2026. Duties for this period are on-call x 4 days
• Tuesday 28 April to 8 am Monday 4 May 2026 including weekend on-call duties
• 8 am Friday 29 May to 8 am Monday 31 May 2026. Duties for this period are on-call x 3 days
• 8 am Monday 8 June to 8 am Friday 11 June 2026. Duties for this period are on-call x 4 days
• 8 am Monday 15 June to 8 am Friday 19 June 2026. Duties for this period are on-call x 4 days
• 8 am Friday 26 June to 8 am Monday 29 June 2026. Duties for this period are on-call x 3 days
• 8 am Monday 6 July to 8 am Friday 10 July 2026. Duties for this period are on-call x 4 days

This medical centre is based within the largest town within the West Coast in the South Island of New Zealand.  The centre is a busy GP clinic with a patient base close to 5750.

Location Information

The nearest domestic airport is 39 km from the medical centre and serviced by direct, 45-minute flights from Christchurch. The airport offers an extensive range of car rental options as well as a direct shuttle service from the airport to the town where the hospital is based.

For those who are driving please note that the town is a 3.5 hour drive from Christchurch and 9 hours from Invercargill.
