 Salary: $223,136–$282,912 p.a. + super & benefits; total remuneration up to $564,939 p.a.

About the Role

 Senior General Surgeon opportunity at Central Queensland’s major referral hospital, delivering acute/elective adult & paediatric surgery, inpatient/outpatient care, operating, endoscopy, outreach/telehealth and on-call services. International candidates can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

 • Deliver high-quality general surgical care incl. operating & endoscopy

 • Support multi-site, outreach & telehealth services

 • Participate in on-call roster

 • Supervise trainees, junior doctors & students

 • Lead audit, research, safety & service improvement

Essential Criteria

 • MBBS/equivalent + eligible for General Surgery specialist registration with AHPRA, generally FRACS

 • Broad General Surgery experience; colorectal/subspecialty expertise desirable

 • Commitment to upper GI endoscopy & CME

 • Strong clinical leadership, communication & multidisciplinary skills
