Consultant – Spinal Cord Injury Service (Rehabilitation Physician)

Location: Repat Health Precinct, Adelaide SA

Contract: Permanent ongoing (2 positions available)

FTE: 0.6–1.0 (flexible; can increase/decrease over time)

Salary: $367,000 – $716,000 p.a. + on‑call loading (~35%) + benefits

An outstanding opportunity is available for a Consultant Rehabilitation Physician to join the SA Spinal Cord Injury Service (SASCIS), a statewide specialist service delivering comprehensive spinal rehabilitation care.

About the Role

This consultant role provides specialist rehabilitation services for patients with spinal cord injury across acute, sub‑acute and outpatient settings. You will work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to clinical care, teaching, research, and service development.

The role includes:

• Specialist rehabilitation care for spinal cord injury patients
• Leadership within a multidisciplinary team
• Supervision of junior medical staff
• Participation in outpatient clinics and statewide outreach services
• Engagement in teaching, quality improvement and research

About You

• Fellowship of the Australasian Faculty of Rehabilitation Medicine (FAFRM, RACP)
• Demonstrated experience in spinal cord injury rehabilitation
• Eligible for full AHPRA specialist registration
• Strong clinical leadership and communication skills
