Job Description:

Our client is establishing a recruitment pool for Consultant Psychiatrists across a variety of mental health service settings, including inpatient units, community teams, and emergency liaison roles. Opportunities are available in general adult, older adult, and adolescent psychiatry. Appointments may be full-time, part-time, casual, or sessional, and can be permanent or fixed-term.


Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert psychiatric care across inpatient, community, and emergency environments.
  • Lead and participate in multidisciplinary teams, ensuring high-quality, safe, and patient-centred care.
  • Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, trainees, and allied health professionals.
  • Collaborate with clinical leads and service directors to meet national and local performance standards.

Salary & Conditions

  • Consultant Psychiatrist level – $333,305 to $432,658 per annum.
  • Flexible employment types: full-time, part-time, fixed-term, casual, sessional.
  • Opportunities for professional development, study leave, and additional allowances.
  • Employer superannuation contribution of 12%.
