About the Role

Morisset Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and committed Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist to join its specialist forensic mental health team. This role involves providing psychiatric care to individuals within the forensic mental health system, including those under legal orders or requiring secure inpatient treatment.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering comprehensive forensic psychiatric assessments and treatment
• Working within secure inpatient units and liaising with legal, correctional, and community services
• Contributing to risk assessment, legal reporting, and court liaison
• Supervising junior medical staff and contributing to forensic psychiatry education
• Supporting service development and promoting trauma-informed, culturally safe practices
