About the Role

Wyong Hospital is seeking an experienced and collaborative Consultant Liaison Psychiatrist to join its expanding mental health team. This role is central to providing psychiatric expertise across the hospital, supporting patients with complex mental health needs in medical, surgical, and emergency settings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality consultation-liaison psychiatry services across inpatient wards and the Emergency Department
• Collaborating with general medical teams to support integrated, holistic care
• Providing supervision and mentorship to junior medical staff and trainees
• Contributing to service development, quality improvement, and culturally safe practices

This large public hospital provides inpatient, outpatient and emergency services within the Central Coast region of NSW. The hospital has 310 beds with recent developments to include a modern 50-bed Mental Health Centre and expansion of the Emergency Department.
