About the Role

Gosford Hospital is seeking a committed and experienced Child and Adolescent Consultant Psychiatrist to join its multidisciplinary mental health team. This role focuses on providing specialist psychiatric care to children and young people experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges, across both community and acute care settings.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting psychiatric assessments and delivering evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents
• Collaborating with families, schools, and community services to support holistic care
• Leading multidisciplinary case reviews and care planning
• Supervising junior medical staff and contributing to education and service development
• Promoting trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate, and culturally safe practices
