About the Role 

Broken Hill Hospital is seeking a dedicated Consultant Psychiatrist to lead and deliver high-quality psychiatric care for children and adolescents across both community-based services and the new Acute Mental Health Inpatient Unit. This role is ideal for a psychiatrist passionate about early intervention, family-focused care, and rural health equity. 

You will: 

• Provide psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for children and adolescents. 
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, and nurses. 
• Deliver consult-liaison services to paediatric and emergency departments. 
• Support outreach and community mental health programs, including school-based initiatives. 
• Supervise junior medical staff and contribute to service development.
