Specialist Consultant

The opportunity

Our client is a well-established private pathology provider servicing the Canberra region, with a strong reputation among referring clinicians. Due to growing demand, we are seeking Anatomical Pathologists to join their established consultant team. General Pathologists with strong histopathology reporting experience are also encouraged to apply.

The role

• Reporting routine and complex histopathology and cytology across a broad general caseload - skin, breast, prostate, GI, non-gynaecological cytology and CSF
• Frozen sections (non-acute) and specimen triage
• Clinical discussion with referrers and participation in MDT meetings
• Teaching and mentoring registrars
• Contribution to quality assurance, audit and accreditation
• Shared 1:7 on-call roster (telephone advice only, generally until 9pm)

About you

• FRCPA in Anatomical Pathology, or equivalent
• AHPRA registration or eligibility
• Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with full work rights

Experienced consultants and recently fellowed pathologists alike will be considered.
