Job Description:
Our client is advertising an opportunity for a Paediatrician to join their team at a public hospital in New Zealand's North Island.
About the role:
- Fixed term 6 months commencing August 2026, 0.8 FTE
- Expertise: Clinical - Senior Medical Officers, Medical Officers and Fellows - Paediatrics
- Seeking to appoint a Consultant General Paediatrician with specialist qualifications to join our Child Health team. Skills and experience that are desirable include experience working on call as a general paediatrician in New Zealand District hospitals, as well as experience seeing patients in clinic with a range of general paediatric medical and developmental conditions.
- You will work 32 ordinary hours and will be required for on call duties on an average of 3.25 call back hours per week, on approximately a 1:8 on call roster.
- This is a hospital-based position with patient care responsibilities in general paediatrics, neonates, outpatients, and teaching of junior medical staff and medical students.
