Job Description:

EXTERNAL JOB AD – Staff Specialist Paediatrician (North West Tasmania)

Location: Burnie & Latrobe, Tasmania

Salary: $216,300–$310,389 p.a. + super + allowances

Contract: Permanent Full Time | 76 hrs/fortnight + on‑call

Start: As soon as available

Join a supportive paediatric team delivering care across the North West Regional Hospital and Mersey Community Hospital. This role offers a broad mix of general paediatrics, neonatal care, behavioural/community paediatrics, and outreach to surrounding regional sites. You will work within an accredited RACP training environment, supervise junior doctors, and contribute to service improvement and patient‑centred care across the region.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide inpatient, outpatient and neonatal paediatric care
  • Participate in outreach clinics to regional communities
  • Support on‑call roster
  • Teach and supervise trainees
  • Contribute to quality improvement and service development

Eligibility:

  • Specialist or Limited Registration with AHPRA (Paediatrics)
  • Working with Children Registration
