Mater Private Hospital Rockhampton has been supporting the health of people living in Central Queensland for more than a century. The heritage listed Kenmore building was purchased by the Sisters of Mercy in 1915 and opened as the first Mater Misericordiae Hospital north of Brisbane on 14 November in the same year. Today, their 121-bed facility features three labour rooms, five operating theatres, a private Emergency Care Centre and a wide range of specialised clinical services. We are urgently seeking a locum to cover the following dates:<ul><li>6am 4 November 2025 to 10am 7 November 2025</li><li>4pm 11 November 2025 to 4pm 14 November 2025</li></ul> The onsite Special Care Nursery (6 cots) provides care to babies born prematurely from 32 weeks and over 1.5 kilograms. Additional support or advice is available 24/7 from the Neonatal Team Leader at Mater Mothers Brisbane via telephone, Teladoc or NeoResQ.There is a daily patient clinic (including behavioural patients) with full administration support. Booked and emergency caesars, daily rounds in the nursery and maternity unit and discharge checks.  Remuneration is $2,200/day + GST (negotiable) with accommodation, travel and hospital car provided.  Neonatologists welcomed and considered for this role, with no outpatient clinical component.
