This Health Service is a community-based health organisation that delivers holistic health care to the surrounding area.

Their vision is to provide and maintain the health and wellbeing of all people in the community and surrounding areas by providing a community-based community controlled Aboriginal Health Service in a culturally sensitive manner.

Location Information

The health service is around a 45-minute drive (37 km) south from Cairns, which is also where the nearest airport is located.

This is a small aboriginal community with a population of just over 3000 people.

This is a great opportunity to step away from the hustle and bustle of city life. The town has one small supermarket run by local people, two hot food take-away shops, a local bakery and a drive-in pub, as well as a service station.
