Locum GP Opportunity, Taranaki (Flexible Dates Available)

Our Client is seeking GP locum support for flexible leave cover, ideally 4–5 weeks, but they are also very open to shorter placements of 1–2 weeks.

Any dates would be appreciated, with a particular interest in 4–8 May if you are available.

About the Practice

This role is to cover a solo GP at his practice to give him some well deserved time off. They have a tight-knit team who genuinely enjoy working together and supporting each other. You’ll be well looked after by:

• A highly experienced prescribing nurse who has been with the practice for 16 years
• An exceptional receptionist with 6 years of experience
• A knowledgeable and supportive Practice Manager who has been part of the team for 10 years

This is a well-established, community-focused practice where locums feel welcome from day one.

Eltham is located in the heart of Taranaki and offers the perfect balance of rural charm and accessibility:

• 45 minutes to Taranaki Base Hospital (New Plymouth)
• 15–20 minutes to Hāwera Hospital
• Plenty to see and do — from the iconic maunga, surf beaches, coastal walks, gardens, arts and food.
• No after-hours or PRIME requirements
