Director – Department of Medicine

• Location: Launceston General Hospital, Tasmania
• Contract: 3-year fixed term | Full-time
• Salary: $222k–$319k + super + 35% private practice + vehicle + CPD

Role

• Lead and manage Surgical Services (theatres, clinics, workforce, budget)
• Oversee governance, performance, and service delivery
• Contribute to statewide strategy
• Maintain a clinical surgical workload

Requirements

• Specialist registration (AHPRA)
• Senior consultant with strong leadership/management experience

Executive-level surgical leadership role combining clinical + operational oversight
