About the Role

Lead a regional Emergency Department while providing specialist emergency care. This dual clinical and leadership role combines hands-on emergency medicine with responsibility for workforce management, service planning, quality improvement, governance and patient safety. International candidates can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialist emergency care across a broad case mix

• Lead departmental operations, quality and clinical governance

• Supervise and mentor doctors and multidisciplinary staff

• Support workforce planning and service development

• Drive audit, patient safety and improvement initiatives

Essential Criteria

• FACEM or substantially comparable qualification

• AHPRA registration or eligibility

• Emergency Medicine leadership experience

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

• Commitment to quality, safety and team-based care
