About the Role

An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Medical Practitioner to join a regional Emergency Department serving the Goldfields. Managing 25,000+ presentations annually, this role offers exposure to diverse and complex cases within a culturally varied population.

You will provide high-quality emergency care, working within a multidisciplinary team while supporting and mentoring junior medical staff. The role includes rotating shifts (0800–2300) with overnight on-call, ensuring 24/7 coverage. Collaboration with retrieval and regional health services is a key component.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency assessment and management
• Lead and support junior doctors and team members
• Participate in teaching and service development
• Collaborate with internal and external healthcare services
• Provide culturally safe, patient-centred care

Essential Criteria

• Unrestricted AHPRA registration
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Australia or equivalent
• Strong emergency medicine and leadership skills
• Ability to work in regional settings
• Commitment to quality and culturally appropriate care
