Salary: Total Indicative Remuneration $366,283 – $603,846 (inclusive of allowances and private practice arrangements)

About the Role

An opportunity is available for experienced Emergency Consultants to join a growing regional emergency service across two busy emergency departments. The role offers a high level of clinical autonomy alongside opportunities to provide leadership, supervision, and teaching within a multidisciplinary team.

You will deliver high‑quality emergency care, contribute to clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives, and support the development of junior medical staff in a service that continues to evolve and invest in its workforce. Flexible full‑time and part‑time options (0.5–1.0 FTE) are available.

About You

• MBBS (or equivalent) with specialist qualifications such as FACEM, FRACGP, or FACRRM
• Eligible for Specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia (or equivalent recognition)
• Strong ability to work independently in a regional emergency setting

This hospital is a 21 bed complex and located within is a seven bed private hospital.  There is a 24 hour accident and emergency department as well as inpatient care in general medicine for adults and children, and palliative care.

The Location:

Located in a port town in South Australia just 160 kilometres north of Adelaide. A deep sea port and home to a multi-million dollar marina there is great swimming, fishing, relaxing and sightseeing here. In fact this town's jetty is one of the most popular in the state for fishers whilst under the jetty is popular for divers with a variety of sea life.
