About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to deliver high‑quality emergency medicine services within a supportive regional team, providing clinical leadership across the Emergency Department, responding to hospital-wide emergencies, overseeing day‑to‑day clinical operations, and guiding junior medical staff. The role also includes participation in teaching, quality improvement, community education, and the planning of clinical service delivery, with a strong focus on autonomous practice within a multidisciplinary environment.

This public hospital provides a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services to patients from across the region and surrounding communities. Patients may commence their stay at this hospital but finish their care at one of the neighbouring hospitals with specialist medical or allied health input when required. All hospitals in the area work collaboratively to support the patient care needs of the region. They have around 350 staff who provide high quality patient care, education, research and health promoting services to the community.

The Location:

This agricultural and viticultural town is located on the north bank of the Murray River in South Australia. It is a multicultural town with a café and a hotel on the riverside, a main street that overlooks the river and other shopping facilities in the town.
