About the Role

Permanent full‑time opportunities are available for motivated and experienced Staff Specialists in Emergency Medicine (FACEM).

You will provide specialist emergency medical care across two key Emergency Departments on Tasmania’s Northwest Coast:

Each ED manages approximately 30,000 patient presentations annually and has excellent 24-hour access to pathology and on‑call radiology.

You will join a friendly, inclusive team with diverse special interest areas including toxicology, POCUS, paediatric emergency medicine, humanitarian medicine, disaster medicine, clinical research, palliative care, VAD, medical education and more. Opportunities exist to develop and grow a specialised portfolio tailored to your interests, while contributing to trainee development and departmental education initiatives.
