Senior Staff Specialist / Staff Specialist – Interventional Cardiology

Location: Rockhampton, QLD, Australia

Employment Type: Permanent Full-Time or Part-Time

Salary: Total remuneration up to $564,939 p.a. (L18-L27) + 12.75% super + 17.5% leave loading

About the Role

A rare opportunity for an Interventional Cardiologist to help establish and grow a new Interventional Cardiology service within a major regional referral centre. You will provide General and Interventional Cardiology services across the Coronary Care Unit, Cardiology Ward, outpatient clinics, and a newly completed Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory. The role also involves clinical leadership, service development, teaching, and quality improvement.

Requirements

  • Specialist registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Cardiologist in Australia.
  • Contemporary Interventional Cardiology experience, including PCI practice.
  • Strong General Cardiology skills.
  • Experience in clinical leadership, governance, and service development.
  • Commitment to teaching and multidisciplinary teamwork.
  • International candidates can be considered, subject to registration and eligibility requirements.
