Specialist Consultant

Masterton Hospital are seeking Cardiology cover whilst one of their Physicians is on sabbatical from Monday 31 August to Friday 27 November.

Their ideal is a mix of General Medicine and Cardiology, however are open to sole Cardiology cover - this would ideally be 1-2 weeks per month.

The weekly cardiology duties are as follows:

• Triaging referrals – 3-4 hours per week (using RMS lite)
• Echo reporting – most weeks 24 studies, very occasionally an extra one or two (using Synapse, reporting platform), 15 min per study, so about 6 hours a week
• Holter reporting – 30 min max per week (using Sentinel, the reporting platform)
• Clinics – 2 per week, usually 8 patients. There’s a full day clinic at 5 Rivers on the 3rd Wednesday of the month. Will need to take a hospital laptop to access SCP
• Other – DCCV, discussing cases with physicians, etc. – 30-60min
