Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist – Anaesthesia

Location: Rockhampton, QLD

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary: $267,790 - $339,527 p.a. + Superannuation & Benefits

Start Date: Negotiable

About the Role

An excellent opportunity for a Senior Staff Specialist or Staff Specialist Anaesthetist to join a regional referral hospital. You will provide specialist anaesthesia services across a broad range of surgical specialties while contributing to education, supervision, research, and quality improvement activities. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care. International candidates can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist anaesthesia services.
  • Deliver pre-anaesthetic assessment and pain management.
  • Participate in on-call services.
  • Support teaching and supervision of junior staff.
  • Contribute to clinical governance and quality initiatives.

Essential Criteria

  • MBBS or equivalent.
  • FANZCA or equivalent qualification.
  • AHPRA Specialist Registration or eligibility.
  • Demonstrated anaesthesia experience.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to clinical excellence and patient care.
