About the Role

This senior anaesthesia role offers broad, hands‑on clinical exposure across theatre lists, pre‑anaesthetic clinics and high‑acuity care, including the High Dependency Unit. You’ll provide anaesthetic services for general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics and gynaecology, endoscopy, dental and investigative procedures, while supporting airway management, pain services and critical care.

The role includes participation in on‑call and after‑hours rosters, involvement in patient transfers, and opportunities to contribute to quality, safety and service improvement initiatives. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team and have scope to mentor junior medical staff while maintaining a varied and well‑balanced regional practice.

The hospital has the capacity for 29 bed medical/surgical ward (including palliative care), 14-bed gynaecology/maternity wards with four birthing suites, eight-bed paediatric ward and four-bed high dependency unit.
