Locum cover is required for:

• 23 – 27 March 2026, 8a–4p General Surgery with a long day Tuesday
• 30 March – 2 April 2026, 8a–4p General Surgery
• 7 – 12 April 2026, 8a–4p General Surgery including weekend ward duties with long days Friday and Sunday
• 13 – 17 April 2026, 8a–4p General Surgery
• 20 – 24 April 2026, 8a–4p General Surgery
• 27 April – 1 May 2026, 8a–4p General Surgery with long day Monday
• 4 – 10 May 2026, 8a–4p General Surgery with weekend ward duties and long days Friday and Sunday
• 11 – 17 May 2026, 8a–4p General Surgery with weekend ward duties and long days Thursday and Saturday
• 18 – 22 May 2026, 8a–4p General Surgery with long day Wednesday
• Ongoing general surgery cover throughout June.

• PGY3+

This medical centre is based within the largest town within the West Coast in the South Island of New Zealand.  The centre is a busy GP clinic with a patient base close to 5750.

Location Information

The nearest domestic airport is 39 km from the medical centre and serviced by direct, 45-minute flights from Christchurch. The airport offers an extensive range of car rental options as well as a direct shuttle service from the airport to the town where the hospital is based.

For those who are driving please note that the town is a 3.5 hour drive from Christchurch and 9 hours from Invercargill.
