About the Role

A rewarding opportunity is available for a Medical House Officer to join a supportive and dynamic hospital team in Hawke’s Bay. This position is ideal for junior doctors seeking structured rotations and broad clinical exposure across medical specialties.

The role offers a well-organised training pathway over the first 6 months, with rotations including:

Q3: Medical Relief

Q4: Psychiatric rotation

OR

Q3: General Medicine

Q4: Medical Relief

You will work under the supervision of experienced consultants while contributing to high-quality patient care. Key responsibilities include inpatient management, participation in ward rounds, responding to acute presentations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Start date: Mid-August 2026, with flexibility for any dates thereafter.

This position provides excellent opportunities for clinical development, exposure to diverse case mixes, and progression in a supportive hospital environment. International candidates can be considered.
