PHO – Urology
We’re partnering with a major regional referral centre in Central Queensland to recruit a Principal House Officer (PHO) in Urology. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior doctor ready to step into a surgical specialty and rapidly build confidence, capability, and procedural exposure.
The Opportunity
In this high‑impact role, you’ll be involved across theatres, clinics, and inpatient care while working closely with a supportive team of Staff Specialists, Senior Medical Officers, and visiting Urologists. You’ll also contribute to the general surgery on‑call roster, giving you broad surgical exposure and the chance to sharpen your decision‑making in a busy, well‑resourced environment.

About You
- MBBS or equivalent, eligible for AHPRA registration (Level 3 supervision or higher)
- Current BLS and ALS certification
- For overseas‑trained doctors:
- Recent IELTS/OET results
- AMC MCQ (Part 1)
- Evidence of recent clinical practice and current references
- AHPRA General Registration and two years’ Australian experience are highly regarded
Total remuneration up to $169,389 p.a., including:
- Base salary: $134,489 – $147,585 (L4–L7)
- 12.75% employer superannuation
- 17.5% leave loading
