This is a small, rural facility providing acute, aged care, community and allied health services to the surrounding community.

Location information 

The township is located approximately 100 kilometres from Bundaberg.

This National Park area is unique because of its mountain wilderness with rugged cliffs, deep gorges and gullies filled with scrub containing few tracks. It is a true bushwalkers paradise and the mountaineering and rock climbing is among Australia's best.

Most sports are catered for including golf, bowls, rugby league, touch football, rifle shooting, fishing, indoor bowls and pony club, as well as day or night cricket and tennis.
