About the Role

An exciting opportunity is available for a Psychiatric Registrar to join a well-supported mental health team in a busy hospital setting in Hawke’s Bay. This role is ideal for a registrar looking to further develop clinical expertise in psychiatry while working within a collaborative and patient-focused environment.

The successful candidate will work closely with consultant psychiatrists, multidisciplinary teams, and community services to deliver high-quality mental health care. Responsibilities include assessing and managing patients with a range of psychiatric conditions, participating in ward rounds and outpatient clinics, and contributing to acute and ongoing care planning.

Preferred start date: 3 August 2026, with flexibility for any dates thereafter.

This position provides strong clinical supervision, excellent training exposure, and opportunities for professional development in a progressive healthcare setting. International candidates can be considered.
