About the Role

Join a regional paediatric team delivering inpatient, neonatal and emergency care. This RACP-accredited role offers up to six months of Rural General Paediatrics training and the opportunity to manage a broad range of paediatric and neonatal presentations while working closely with senior clinicians.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide paediatric and neonatal care.
• Support senior medical staff in delivering quality services.
• Manage acute and complex presentations.
• Participate in training and service improvement.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Essential Criteria
• MBBS or equivalent.
• Eligibility for AHPRA registration.
• Neonatal Resuscitation and Advanced Paediatric Life Support skills.
• Strong clinical, communication and teamwork skills.

This hospital is approximately 550 km North of Brisbane and 100 km south-east of Rockhampton.

The hospital has the capacity for 29 bed medical/surgical ward (including palliative care), 14-bed gynaecology/maternity wards with four birthing suites, eight-bed paediatric ward and four-bed high dependency unit.
