Location: Launceston, Tasmania

Contract: Fixed-term full time until Jan 2027 | 76 hrs/fortnight + 10 hrs paid training

Salary: $134,930–$189,005 p.a. + 12% super + allowances

Join a supportive and well‑structured Paediatric team in Northern Tasmania. This accredited Paediatric Registrar role offers a mix of general paediatrics, neonatal care, and outpatient work, along with a generous education program and strong consultant support.

About the Role

You will work across a modern paediatric service featuring a Paediatric Short Stay Unit, General Paediatric ward, Level 2 neonatal nursery, and outpatient clinics. The unit is staffed 24/7 with registrar and HMO coverage, with consultant oversight during the day and on-call support overnight.

The role includes rostered day, evening, and after-hours shifts, with 10 hours of paid, protected teaching time every fortnight. The position is accredited for RACP Advanced Training in General Paediatrics (with Perinatal), Community/Developmental Paediatrics, and rural rotations.

Eligibility

• Current AHPRA General or Limited Registration
• Enrolled in a relevant paediatric specialty training program
• Current Working with Children Registration
