Unaccredited Registrar – Obstetrics & Gynaecology

Location: Hobart, Tasmania

Employment Type: Fixed‑term, Full‑time (day work with on‑call)

Hours: 76 hours per fortnight + 10 hours protected training time (pro rata)

Contract Period: ASAP – 1 February 2027

Salary: Medical Practitioner Level 5–11 ($134,930 – $189,005 p.a. pro rata) + 12% superannuation

We are seeking an Unaccredited Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar to join the Women’s and Children’s Department at Tasmania's largest hospital.

Role Summary

Registrar‑level role delivering comprehensive O&G care in Tasmania’s tertiary referral centre. This position offers high‑volume exposure across obstetrics, gynaecology, fetal medicine and gynaecological surgery, supported by strong consultant supervision, structured teaching and UTAS academic links.

Eligibility

• AHPRA General or Limited Registration
• Working With Children Registration
• Suitable for PGY4–6 doctors seeking registrar‑level O&G exposure
• IMGs considered (subject to registration and pre‑employment checks)
