Job Description:
Registrar – Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Location: North West Tasmania, Australia
Employment Type: Fixed‑term, full‑time (shift work)
Salary: AUD $134,930 – $189,005 per annum (pro rata) + 12% superannuation + salary packaging
About the Role
This role offers the opportunity to work within a well‑supported regional 8‑bed Intensive Care Unit providing high‑acuity care. The unit is staffed by experienced Intensivists with 24/7 specialist on‑call support and equipped to deliver advanced ventilation, renal replacement therapy, invasive monitoring, ultrasound‑guided procedures and bronchoscopy.
The ICU is CICM‑accredited for Foundation and Rural training, offering structured weekly teaching, exam preparation, protected training time and close consultant supervision. Applications are welcomed from both accredited CICM trainees and unaccredited registrars/senior residents seeking hands‑on experience in high‑acuity intensive care.

- Fixed‑term full‑time position (up to 76 hours per fortnight)
- PGY3+
- Commencement: as soon as possible
- Contract end date: 6 February 2028
- Opportunities may arise to fill future full‑time, part‑time roles
