Located in the North Island of New Zealand on the bank of the Northern Wairoa River, this hospital has a 12-bed general ward and 4-bed maternity ward as well as on-site laboratory, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy services. 

The Location

This scenic river town is the perfect place to explore the Kauri Coast including nearby Kai Iwi Lakes and Baylys Beach. With an extremely rich heritage and history, you will find many 19th century buildings still in use as well as Maori settlements to visit and artefacts to see. Being a 50-minute drive from Whangarei, this town also has its own airport linked to the Whangarei terminal – so a brilliant place to carry out some New Zealand exploring!
