Unaccredited Trainee – Critical Care (Emergency Department)

Location: Tamworth, NSW (with opportunities in Newcastle, NSW)

Employment Type: Temporary Full-Time

Salary: Competitive remuneration package

Start Date: Flexible

About the Role

A fantastic opportunity for PGY4+ doctors to gain experience in Emergency Medicine, Anaesthetics, and Intensive Care. This role offers accredited rotations, protected education time, and participation in a well-established Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) program. Suitable for doctors pursuing ACEM, RACGP, or ACRRM pathways, or those exploring a career in critical care. Contracts of up to two years available.

International candidates can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care in the Emergency Department under supervision.
  • Assess and manage acutely unwell patients.
  • Participate in Emergency, ICU, and Anaesthetics rotations.
  • Work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
  • Support patient safety, quality improvement, and risk management.
  • Engage in ongoing education and professional development.

  • Relevant medical qualifications and experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a supervised setting.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
