ED REG / PHO – Permanent Opportunity | Coastal Queensland

Permanent Emergency Medicine Registrar / PHO opportunity available in a busy regional coastal ED in Queensland.


🗓 Flexible start dates from August 2026 through to February 2027

💰 Salary: $133,848 – $181,097 + applicable benefits


The Role

Join a supportive Emergency Department managing a broad mix of presentations including acute medicine, trauma, paediatrics, and minor procedures. The successful applicant will work within a multidisciplinary team alongside FACEMs, registrars, PHOs, JMOs, nursing, and allied health staff.

Duties include:

  • Assessment and management of emergency presentations
  • Resuscitation and acute care management
  • Participation in ward rounds, handovers, and clinical reviews
  • Supervising junior staff where appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
  • Contributing to quality improvement and education activities

Eligibility

  • UK & Irish trained doctors encouraged to apply
  • Current or eligible AHPRA registration
  • Recent Emergency Department experience required
  • Suitable for ED Registrar or experienced PHO level applicants
