Fully vaccinated travellers to Tasmania, or those with an exemption, do not need to register to enter Tasmania or undertake COVID-19 testing prior to arrival. If you are not vaccinated you will not be permitted to enter the state unless you get an exemption - if approved, quarantine restrictions will apply.

You must wear a face mask when travelling on domestic flights and in airports, except when eating or drinking. The Spirit of Tasmania is still operating for travellers.

You can travel freely within Tasmania. King Island and Flinders Islands residents can travel to mainland Tasmania without quarantining on their return if they don’t travel via medium or high-risk locations in Australia. While in Tasmania, use the Check In TAS mobile application to keep a contact tracing record.
