About the Role

Lead a busy Emergency Department seeing approximately 27,000 presentations annually. This role combines clinical practice with leadership responsibilities across service development, clinical governance, workforce planning and education. Approximately 20-25 hours per week is dedicated to leadership duties, with the remainder being clinical. International candidates can be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Emergency Medicine services and clinical governance.
• Provide specialist emergency care within a multidisciplinary team.
• Support training, education and accreditation initiatives.
• Drive quality improvement and service development.
• Participate in the on-call roster.

Essential Criteria

• AHPRA-recognised Specialist Emergency Medicine qualification (FACEM or equivalent).
• Recent specialist Emergency Medicine experience.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
• Commitment to education, research and quality improvement.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
