Job Description:

Our client is advertising an opportunity for a Family Medicine GP Specialist to permanently join their team at a GP clinic in the North Island of New Zealand. 

The ideal start date for this position is 28 February 2022 - 2023.

Details:

GP required, 1 or 2 days – Waverley, South Taranaki 

Community practice requires a GP to cover 1 or 2 days a week. 

  • 5000 patient practice across 2 sites.
  • Medtech 32
  • 70% Maori patients
  • VLCA practice funded 
  • Cornerstone accredited 

Vast range of services that the medical centre links in with. These include family support services, social services, mental health support services, hearing and vision testing etc.

Client Description:

This group practice has approximately 5,200 enrolled patients and is part of an Iwi-lead organisation which aims to improve health services and access for the Māori community. This busy clinic offers low-cost services including:

  • Pregnancy and parenting support
  • Dietician

  • B4 School Check Programme (for children under 4 years old)
  • Cervical screening
  • Diabetes podiatry service
  • Family health and community outreach

Location information

The clinic is located in Whanganui, on the west coast of New Zealand’s North Island. Centred around the mouth of the Whanganui river, this vibrant urban district has plenty of cafes, art galleries, museums and nightlife. Highlights include:
